- [Instructor] Now that you know a little bit about feature lines, let's create a few. We'll use them to do some lot grading for one of the lots in our subdivision. You'll notice over here in the top right viewport, we've got lot 25. And what we'd like to do first is establish the elevations along the edge of our corridor here and then grade from those elevations back along the sides and the rear edges of this parcel. So to get started, I'll extract a feature line out of the edge of the corridor. To do that, I'll click the Feature Line dropdown menu and then Create Feature Line from Corridor. As I hover my cursor over the different feature lines in the corridor, you can see them highlight, and you can see the tool tips pop up, which represent the codes that were used to create those feature lines.
