Create a parcel by subdividing

- [Instructor] One of the most powerful ways to create parcels in Civil 3D is by subdividing a large parcel into many smaller ones. Let's see how this is done. To begin, I'll launch the Parcel Creation Tools command and the command that we're going to be most interested in is in this dropdown and it is Slide Line Create. I'll launch the command. And I'll choose my defaults for styles and other behaviors. I'll choose a default style of Single Family for the parcel and an area label style of Parcel Number. Click OK. If you look at the command line, it's telling me to select the parcel that I want to subdivide. I'm going to select this parcel here because it's kind of a long, narrow area that will really show how powerful this command is in laying out many parcels at once. So I'll select that parcel. And now I need to define the frontage. So I'll come down here and snap to the endpoint of this long curve and then…
