Create a profile view
- [Instructor] In the previous videos you learned about Profile Views and how to project objects to them. Now let's look at how to create Profile Views. To get started I go to the Home Tab of the Ribbon and under Profile View I select Create Profile View. There's a lot of information that goes into creating a Profile View. So Civil 3D has broken this down into what's called a Wizard. A series of dialog boxes that you step through, answering questions kind of in categories instead of all at once in one interface. So our first dialogue in the Wizard is General. Which alignment are we creating a profile view for? So we'll select that from the list. We can also use this button to pick it from the drawing. How are we going to name this Profile View? We can use a name template or we could even type it right in this box directly. A description as always is optional but never a bad idea.
