- [Instructor] In the last video we saw how to view sections wherever there are assembly assertions in the corridor. What if we want to see sections at specific stations between assembly insertions? Or what if we want to plot out those sections in the drawing? That all starts with sample lines. So let's look at how to create them. To get started, I'll go to the home tab of the ribbon and click the Sample Lines command on the ribbon. Next I need to indicate which alignment I'd like to create sample lines along. So rather than selecting from the drawing, which can be a little tricky in a busy drawing, I'm just going to press enter and choose the alignment that I want from a list. And here I'll pick Jordan Court and click OK. Now, as with anything in Civil 3D I'm creating some objects and I need to answer some questions about those objects.
