Creating an advanced corridor: Cul-de-sac - AutoCAD Civil 3D Tutorial
From the course: Autodesk Civil 3D 2020 Essential Training
Creating an advanced corridor: Cul-de-sac
of how to create a corridor, how to use the information to create a surface, and even a little bit about corridor targeting, let's take corridor construction to a next level. We're going to get a little bit more advanced here, and we're going to create a corridor object to deal with the cul-de-sac in our exercise drawing. Let's go ahead and open up our exercise drawing This spot elevation is reading the corridor surface and allowing me to know where that elevation is at the beginning of the cul-de-sac. Now if you look really closely at what we have for our corridor, these magenta lines, the light green, all of that, that's a link being shown from plan view. In other words, we're looking straight down at our assembly. The assembly is always applied to the corridor perpendicular. So the assembly's always applied perpendicular to our linear path. Our linear path here, of course, is our alignment, in this case. Now when we get to the cul-de-sac we have a little bit of a problem. If we do…
