- [Instructor] Alignments are some of the simplest geometry within civil design that we're going to find to create. And as we get into this exercise, you'll see it's as easy as adding a line or polyline. Let's go ahead and get our exercise file open. Quick access toolbar, choose Open. And we're going to choose 06_02_AlignbyLayout. Very similar to the last drawing, this drawing, what it has in it is some construction lines and some circles. Ultimately these construction lines are some constraints that we might have identified early on saying okay, this is how far we need to be from the back of our property. There is some sharp topography here, some other lines that we might have in here. Really, all we're going to do in this exercise is connect the dots. So let's go ahead and create our alignment. Home ribbon, Create Design panel, Alignment, Alignment Creation Tools. We're going to give our alignment a name. It's going to be Trimble Loop. In this case, we talked about the type and all…
