when we have existing objects is quite easy, but if we're working with a large subdivision or hundreds of lots that we're wanting to create, that's a lot of manual autoCAD geometry work that we would have to do to then take these objects and convert them over to parcel segments to get the parcels. Civil 3D speeds that up by giving us with the correct criteria. Let's see how to do this, we're going to open up our exercise file by going to our quick access toolbar, choose chapter five, 05 03 parcels by layout is our drawing that we're going to be working in, then we see our subdivision somewhat kind of taking shape here. We have large sections already subdivided roughly how we're going to be laying some of this out, and all of these are parcels. So you see the parcel numbers here, if we go to prospector under sites, under property you'll see that we have some parcels here as well.
