Define parcel styles

- [Male Speaker] As with other styles in Civil 3D, parcel styles control how parcels look and behave. Let's see what they're all about. Going to go into this drawing and create a brand new parcel style. And to do that, I'll go to the settings tab, expand Parcel, and then expand Parcel Styles. I'll right-click Parcel Styles and pick New. I'm going to call my new parcel style "Common Area." And we'll just say non-lot areas in the development. On the design tab, we actually see a couple of settings that you probably won't modify very often. One is the fill distance, which we'll come back to. For now I'm going to turn that off. And the other is the name template where you choose how new parcels are going to be named as they're created. You can see that this one uses the parcel style name, which in this case will be Common Area, followed by the parcel number. That'll work pretty well for our example. Next we get to choose how…
