Delete a parcel
- So, how do you delete parcels in Civil 3D? The answer may surprise you. Now your first instinct may be to simply select a parcel and click your delete key, or launched the erase command from AutoCAD and select a parcel. And you'll find out very quickly that, that simply doesn't work. The drawing does it respond at all? That's because parcels are created in Civil 3D in a kind of unique way. When several parcel segments intersect or attached to each other to create a closed shape then a parcel is created automatically. So it's kind of an indirect result of some parcel segments. So for example, parcel 41 exists because a closed shape is formed from this parcel object, and this one, and this one, and this one. So if any of those were removed thus causing the parcel to no longer exist, then that's how a parcel is erased.
