Design a profile

- [Narrator] We've seen how to use a surface profile to represent existing conditions. Now it's time to replace that with a design profile, which will better suit the needs of our project. Specifically, a profile design for vehicle traffic. To get started, I'll click the profile view grid in my drawing. That brings up the contextual ribbon tab. And on that tab I'll click the profile creation tools, command. In the dialog that comes up I want to enter a name for my profile, and I'm going to call this Jordan Court F-G-C-L. If you remember a few videos ago when we created the existing profile, we called it EGCL for existing ground center line. This is going to be finished ground center line. We'll verify that our profile style is called design profile and that the profile label set is set to no labels. Now click okay. And you'll see the toolbar appear for the profile layout tools.
