Draw a gravity network in a profile view
- [Instructor] When designing pipe networks, it is essential to be able to display them in profile view for design and documentation purposes. Let's see how that works. The first way, I'm going to show you how to add a pipe network to a profile is all at once. And to do that, I'll click on the Modify tab of the ribbon, and then click pipe network. And that will bring up all of the different pipe network commands that we typically see when we pick a pipe network object and bring up the contextual ribbon. The reason we can't do that in this case is because we want to do the whole network at once. So if we select a manhole or a pipe, we've already kind of told civil 3D which one we want to show in the profile view, and there's no way to go back to selecting the whole thing at once.
