- [Instructor] Parcels can be edited like AutoCAD lines and arcs as long as you use the commands that Civil 3D provides. Let's take a look at how that works. Put a zoom into the farm area here and a little more closely yet to this little sliver of a triangle that we have right here. If you remember we created a property line along the fence, and then we created another one along the back of this lot area, parallel to the road right of way. This little piece of property area really has no use or value, so we should get rid of it. And you might be thinking, well if this were AutoCAD I could just trim this piece of line out of here. Well, the problem is if I launch the AutoCAD trim command and I select a parcel object, it just simply doesn't recognize it as an object that I can use, but Civil 3D provide some tools that do much of the same AutoCAD functions but they work on parcel objects.
