- In an earlier video, we saw how we can get Civil 3D to do the math for us to create a new parcel. What if we want to use that approach to modify a parcel? Let's take a look. Going to zoom into this property 28 parcel which is currently 16,000 square feet or so and I want to update it so that it's half an acre instead. So to start off, I'll click the parcel, and then on the ribbon, I'll click parcel layout tools. I'll change our minimum area to .5 acre and press enter. Now I want to go to my dropdown here and instead of slide line create, I'll choose its counterpart, slide line edit. I'll launch the command and follow the prompts. I'll click OK to accept the defaults. And the first thing I'm prompted to do is to select the attached lot line to adjust. That's the Southern lot line here. Now, two parcels are associated with that lot line. I want to pick the one that I want to edit and that's this one. So I'll just click…
