Edit a profile using the Profile Layout tools
- [Instructor] Just as you saw with alignments, profiles can be edited using the same tools that you create them with. Let's see how this works. To get started I'll click on my design profile. And I want to zoom in closely so I'm sure that I'm picking the blue line and not the red one. The blue line represents my design profile and the red is the existing profile based on my existing ground surface. I'll click the blue profile line and I can turn off the properties command if that pops up. And I want to go up to the ribbon and pick geometry editor. What that actually does is it launches the profile layout tools toolbar. The same one that we used to layout the profile in the first place. The first thing I want to do is cause my profile to follow this existing road slope a little more closely. So I'm going to add a PVI right here where the road breaks down into the ditch. So to do that, I'll click the insert PDI command.…
