- [Instructor] Civil 3D drawings contain lots of information. That's why you have the Prospector tab to organize that information and make it easy to access. Let's take a look. The Prospector shown here on the left side of my screen is a tab that you'll find on the tool space window. And I think it may be the most important part of the Civil 3D user interface. And the reason is that, as I said Civil 3D drawings contain a lot of information. And in the drawing area this information is all strewn all over the place. I've got an alignment in this drawing and surfaces and maybe parcels and they're all just kind of overlapping each other in this drawing area. And it gets frankly really messy. The Prospector is a place to take this messy information and organize it in a very structured fashion. So for example, if I go over here to Prospector you'll see that I can expand each area and see the information within each object…
