Surface statistics

Surface statistics

- [Instructor] Surface statistics can be helpful when you're looking for some detailed information about a surface. To show surface statistics you can select a surface in the drawing and then go to Surface Properties. Within Surface Properties you'll see a Statistics tab at the end and you can expand each of the sections to view the statistics. In the General section we see revision number, number of points, minimum and maximum X and Y coordinates, minimum and maximum elevations and also the mean elevation. In the Extended section we see the 2d and 3d surface area, the minimum and maximum grade or slope, and then the mean grade or slope and finally, in the TIN section, we see the number of triangles, the minimum and maximum triangle areas and the minimum and maximum triangle lengths. So there you have it. That's how you view the statistics for a surface.
