Understanding gravity parts
- [Narrator] It's time to begin our chapter on pipe networks. Let's start with a discussion on the parts list. Gravity pipe networks are made up of pipes and structures, and as you may know, the pipes and structures that are used in construction, are typically standard sizes, types and shapes. So that's where the parts list comes in. With a parts list, you can include just the sizes and types that make sense for your design, based on your client, locality, or maybe some other factors. For example, if I was going to create a new storm pipe network, I might use a parts list named, storm sewer. Let's take a look inside this parts list, to see what it's made of. You'll see there's an information tab with just the name of the parts list and of course the description. Then we've got the pipes and the structures tab.
