- [Narrator] Civil 3D isn't just about designing. It's also about producing documents for approvals, bidding and construction. In this chapter, we'll look at civil 3D tools that make that documentation easier. We'll start with the text component editor. As you know, civil 3D automates much of the labeling you need to do, but sometimes you need to add in some extra detail. For example, in this profile view, we have a grade brake label at the beginning of the profile, which also happens to be the center line of the existing road that we're tying into, we'd like to call that out. But you can see here that the automation of the label doesn't include that. And there may be other grade brake labels elsewhere in the profile that don't need to have that information.
