Use the ribbon to launch commands
- [Instructor] As I mentioned in the first video, the Ribbon is where you launch most of your commands in Civil 3D. Let's take a look. Let's first talk about how the ribbon is broken down. You'll see across the top that there are a series of tabs and each one of these tabs contains a bunch of commands that all relate to one another. Now, within each tab, you'll see these rectangular sections; these are called panels and this is a further grouping of commands that more specifically relate to each other. And then within each panel, you'll find a series of menus which is an even more specific grouping of commands. For example, in this dropdown, we see commands that have to do with creating parcels and here you see commands that have to do with creating alignments. So that way of grouping your commands together first in tabs and then panels and then menus is a way for you to keep the commands organized and make them easier to…
