Utilize points in the survey database
- [Instructor] Survey points are a different type of points when compared to the Cogo points that you learned about in the first chapter. Let's take a look at what makes them different. We'll begin by importing some survey data into this drawing. On the Insert tab of the ribbon, I'll click import survey data. We'll create a new survey database. I'm going to call this Survey6, you can call it whatever you like, and then we'll click Next. I'll make sure my data source type is set to point file and then I'll click the green plus sign and browse to the exercise files for this video. I'll select Survey Data.txt and click Open. Next, I want to make sure I choose the right format. That's going to be PNE ZD (comma delimited). Make sure you check that and that you've got the right one.
