Breaking and joining

In this video we'll examine the break and join commands. Open the rooms sample file. And then expand the modify slide-out. Right here you'll find break and break at point. The first icon has two blue dots. That means you can break in two places on a line. The second icon, allows you to break at a single point. Let's try this one, break. It says select object. This command is unique in that the point that you select the object becomes the point at which you break the line. So if I click right here, it's going to break it there. And then it says specify second break point and I'll click over here and the command is done. The problem with this is that you can't use object snap at a select object prompt. So you can't really be very accurate. I'll show you another method for breaking with accuracy. I'll draw a couple of vertical lines here, and zoom in.
