Creating boundaries and cleaning up
I'll discuss the overkill in boundary commands in this video. First let's tackle boundary. The boundary command is located up here on this fly out. Its grouped with hatch ingredient because it uses the same recasting algorithm. Click boundary. That opens up this dialogue box. We have a few choices. When you're creating a boundary, you can generate it as a poly line or a region. And I'll discuss regions in the next video. For now, let's have it generate a poly line. The boundary set is what you're going to analyze. In a really complex drawing you might want to limit that to a smaller area. You could do that by selecting a new boundary set. And selecting certain objects that you want to analyze like this. Press enter. So now we have a selection set that we're going to analyze. Up here we can click this button. And it will allow us to pick an internal point. The algorithm casts rays out from this point. And determines the boundary of the room based on the point that you click. It works…
