Defining a block with attributes

In this video, we will take these attribute definitions and convert them into a block. I have two attribute definitions here in the Architectural3 sample file in the Chapter 13 folder. And a polyline rectangle here. So the next step is to type b + enter, for block. Let's give this block a name. I'm going to call it room tag. It needs a base point, so I'll pick a point and snap that point right there. We also need to select the objects that make up this block. Click select objects, and pick the rectangle. And then, click the top attribute, and then the bottom one. The order that you select the objects here, matters. So I always want to select the top one, and work my way down, one at a time, Enter. Choose delete. And make sure that, open in block editor, is not selected. In this case the block unit is inches. OK. It disappears, because, we've just defined the block. It's part of this drawings data base. And now we're ready to go ahead and insert it. So let's type i for insert. Enter…
