Editing object properties

Every object you draw has properties controlling its appearance including color, line type, line weight, and so on. You can set these properties in many different ways. Open the Architectural sample file in the Chapter 11 folder and zoom into this entry way. Let's say we want to change the color of the door. Select the objects, and come up here to the Properties panel and locate the Color drop-down menu right here. Right now the object color is controlled by the layer that the object is assigned to, so it's displaying as a white object because it's on layer 0, which is white. We can override that by specifically selecting a color from this drop-down. I can select this color here and now the door has changed. You can alternatively go down here to more colors and open up this dialogue box where you have many more options. You can choose different color models.
