Plotting from a layout and from model space

In this video, we will create output from the drawing. In AutoCAD terminology, that's called making a plot. And the term plot comes from early output devices which actually used pens that drew lines individually on the paper. Those devices are obsolete, but the term remains. So type in the command name plot. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl+P to access this feature, which is similar to most programs and how they print. The layout is already configured for a plot. It has a plot driver in this case DWG to PDF, and it has a paper size and a plot scale already set. Let's go ahead and click Preview and see what we get. Zoom in, and you'll see that the red lines are about the same weight as the black lines. This is just an approximation of how the actual plot will look in the PDF. But we can tell already that we need to fix two things. One is the line weight. And two is the color. We don't want to print the part in red. We want to print it in black.
