Stretching and lengthening

In this video I'll show you how to use the Stretch and Lengthen commands. Of the two, I find Stretch invaluable and Lengthen less so, but it's important to explore all the tools in your toolbox. So let’s take a look at Stretch. It's located right here. It says select objects. Now Stretch is unique amongst the modification commands, in that you need to select objects with a crossing window to use Stretch properly. Let's say we want to make this room bigger. We can stretch this wall over to the right. To do that, we need to select it with a crossing window. I'll click a point down here, and drag up to the left. The crossing window appears in green. I'll click to select all of those objects, and then press Enter to exit Selection mode. Now the command prompt says specify base point. I'll click some arbitrary point here in the middle of the room.
