Using the ribbon
The ribbon gives you visual access to most of the commands used in AutoCAD. In this video you'll see how to customize its appearance using the ribbon's three modes. So the ribbon is organized into tabs, panels, and commands. You can display this information in different ways using this control right here. Click on it, one time and you will change the panels into these icons. You can go to another tab and then hold the cursor over the draw icon and you'll see all of the commands on its panel appear right here. If I click this button again, we'll minimize to panel titles. So this saves room on the screen. I can then position the cursor over the word draw, and I see that same panel. I'll click on it one more time. And we'll go to the most minimalistic view, where we simply see the tabs. I'll click on the tab and that opens the full ribbon temporarily so I can select a tool. Click on line.
