Adding dampers

We can now go back and start adding some components to our ducts. The first thing that comes to mind are balancing dampers. No drawing is complete without these little guys. By selecting the correct damper from the pallete, we'll be choosing the correct shaped damper to place in our duct. We'll then go back and investigate the properties. Lastly, we're going to look at these dampers in 3D, and see how we can flip the handle to make it more convenient. Let's get started by jumping into our MEP mechanical drawing. I'm going to zoom into this area here. On my tool pallet's HVAC, I want to make sure that I go to my equipment tab. Under my equipment tab, I'm going to come down to balancing round. Again, we have many to choose from, let's make sure we have the 8 inch diameter, simple round balancing damper because of the fact that our duct is 8 inches round. If we select another size, AutoCAD's going to put in reducers. I'm going to come to this guy right here, now I'm going to let it cut…
