Adding hot-water piping
Going back into the mechanical room, we're going to pick on the boiler, then we're going to add a water heater. The objective of this video is to run a domestic hot water line from the heater. Then we'll look at running some flange pipe from our boiler. Lastly, we'll view the pipes in schematic. To get started, let's jump into MEP mechanical. Let's zoom on a mechanical room 131. On the Home tab, let's click the Equipment button. Let's go down to Boilers. Let's grab Hot Water Boiler, US imperial. We can grab the 2000 pound BTU 1. Click into your drawing area. Now, let's put our water heater right here. Style it around to zero and pick that point. Let's hit Esc a couple of times. Now when you select it, you see you can start adding some pipe. I want to add some pipe from our palette. Let's go to our Tool palettes. Now I want to grab domestic hot water supply. I'm going to break it right into here, now I'm going to run it straight out into my hallway, and I'm going to run it straight up.…
