Adding plumbing fixtures and floor drains
There are two schools of thought here. One school, is that the architect places the plumbing fixtures into their model, and the plumbing engineer simply runs pipe to the externally referenced model. The other school is, of course, the plumbing engineer places the fixtures themselves, in their own model and physically connects to them. For this video, I will employ the third school. We will add our fixtures over the top of the architect's fixtures. The objective of this video is to go into the plumbing workspace. From there we're going to find some water closets and bathroom fixtures to add into our models. Then of course, we'll check out the properties of the fixtures, and the floor drains we add. So to get started, let's hope in our MEP plumbing drawing. Let's go down to our work space switching, and click the Fly out. Let's select Plumbing. You may have to dock, your plumbing tools pallets and your properties tool pallet. Once you have them docked, let's go to our plumbing tool…
