Adding spaces
Being the MEP person that you are, much of the information you provide on your joins comes from the architect. This is true of rooms and spaces. The two actually work together. It's not really up to the MEV professional, to start naming rooms, but it's certainly information we're going to need. What this video will focus on, is how to add a space. How to view the space properties, and how to allocate the space for a specific use. To do this, we will open up the architectural external reference. We'll add a space, we'll tag it. Then we're going to reload the model and look at how to use a room tag to annotate that space back in our MEP drawing. So to get started, let's open up our MEP-Electrical drawing. Or, you can go into whatever drawing you may be working on. Let's go ahead and pan in, on the Xref. Go ahead and select it. Our external reference temporary tab, will show up.
