Creating 30-degree isometric drafts

Back before 3D was useful. We had to draft in isometric's. Auto kind of hid that functionality for quite a while, and new AutoCAD 2015, Autodesk went on an archeological dig, to find the function and put back to where we could find it again. The objective of this video is to start a new drawing using the ACEB template. Then we'll start using the ISO snap function, to create a drawing of a tank with some pipe leading out. Let's jump into autocad MEP15. Let's go to our get started, start drawing dialog. And click the drop down for templates. Let's go to AECB Model US Imperial CTB. Now we're just going to start drawing. But, before we do that, I'm want to come down to this taggle right here, asymmetric draft. Go ahead and click it, notice that our crosses will change to an asymmetric plane. Keep hitting F5 to circle through the planes. I'm going to through until my asymmetric snap is laying down like this at 30 degrees. I'm going to take L and hit Enter.
