Creating electrical schedules

Since we are using Smart Objects and smart tags, that stands to reasons we can have smart schedules. Unfortunately, our schedules are too smart. That's okay. If I said they were too dumb, we'd been in trouble. The objective of this video, is to see how tagging our fixtures actually drives the schedules. We'll then add schedules to our model, tag the rest of the fixtures, then we'll manipulate the schedule to relay the data we want to see. So to begin, let's jump into our MEP-Electrical-Lighting drawing. On the Home tab, we're going to go into our Annotation panel. On our Annotation panel, we're going to hit the Schedule drop-down, and we're going to go Lighting, Device, Schedule. AutoCAD wants us to pick a window around all of the items we want to have in the schedule. I'm going to pick a window around my entire floor plan. And I'm going to right click.
