Setting up a ducting plan

It's time to start looking at the M in MEP. Like anything else we'll be doing in this course, we're going to need to start with a display we can count on to view our items. The objective of this video is to create a brand new drawing starting with one of the default AutoCAD MEP templates provided for us. We will start by selecting the template. Then we'll reference the architectural background. Then we'll set the proper display configuration. So to get started, let's come over here to get started. For start drawing, for templates, let's click the little drop down arrow right here. I want to grab a e c v model u s imperial c t b. Now we have a blank model. The first thing I want to do is save it. I'm going to save it somewhere that makes sense to me. I'm going to call it, MEP-Mechanical. I'm going to click on, Save. With our MEP-Mechanical model saved, let's go ahead and bring in our external reference. We can either go Insert, Attach, or we can type X, R, and hit Enter. Go ahead and…
