Starting from a template and using the interface

In the world of AutoCAD, there are many ways to jump into a drawing, or to create a new drawing. Luckily, whatever method you prefer, AutoCAD makes it easy. The objective of this video, is to get started by opening AutoCAD MEP, then examining the start up screen. We will then launch a new drawing, and we'll take a look at the ribbons and toolbars, that appear, when our first MEP drawing boots up. We will see how to dock our tool pallets, and how to display them only when we need them. We will cover workspace switching, and we will also look at how to dock our command prompt to stay put. So to get started, fire up AutoCAD MEP, and follow along. The first screen you will be confronted by, is the startup screen. When you start opening drawings, you'll see that AutoCAD will start to form tabs. That way, you can switch through your drawings easily. For our purposes, let's come down here to Get Started.
