Palettes as icons

- [Narrator] The palettes are certainly a very Mac-like interface element. But sometimes you just need more screen real estate. As anyone would agree, the drawing window itself is the main focus of our AutoCAD use. And usually, we want as much drawing space as possible. To help with that, AutoCAD for MAC has two different tools. One for the interface used up through 2016 and a similar tool, starting with 2017 and beyond and that is Hiding the Palettes. For the older interface, we have the tool here under the Menu bar window, called Show Palettes as Icons. Now on the Window side, we had Clean Screen, which removed all the elements of the interface except for the drawing window. This was great for presentations but not very useful for working. Show Palettes as Icons is a great alternative. It keeps the important Command Line and Status bar and collapses all the rest of the palettes to a series of smaller icons here on the left side of the screen. I can click on one and it will remain…
