Palettes

- [Instructor] We're going to start with AutoCAD for Mac 2016, as it shares an almost identical interface with every version since the initial release. Like most Mac apps of the time, the interface uses palettes for the different elements of the display. These palettes can be drug around the screen by clicking in the top title area of the palette like so, and can arrange them however you like. And as you get to the edge of the screen, you'll see a blue highlighted section, like so. If I release the palette, it will dock to the edge of that screen. This is a signal that the palette is going to be locked into the screen edge. Now, I can drag over the layers palette and we can see the properties inspector expanded to fill the space. If I go to move the layer palette back, we can see the highlight is at the top of the screen. And if I release, it'll dock to that section of the screen.
