- [Narrator] Adding additional data to Vector based GIS data can be done using existing AutoCAD based graphics. Simply selecting each AutoCAD object, one at a time, and adding attributes after each selection is performed in this lesson. Let's do that now. Let's add the streets to the current DWG. Now, the streets are in blue, and we have two new streets that we need to add. These streets are actually on their own layer in AutoCAD. They're on a streets AutoCAD layer, so these are not GIS layers, they're AutoCAD layers, but we want to convert these AutoCAD layers here and here to GIS streets. So to do that, we simply right-click on the streets GIS layer and say new feature from geometry. That means we're going to actually pick an AutoCAD object on the screen and convert it into a feature that's inside this SDF.
