Adding parameters
- [Instructor] We're staying in our Door-DYNAMIC1.dwg. Now you'll remember in the previous video we set up the standard block. So this is now a block here, this door. So we're going to select it, we're going to right-click, and then we're going to go into the Block Editor. That's one of the quickest ways to convert a standard block into a dynamic block. So we click on Block Editor like so. That takes us into our hyperspace that I mentioned earlier, sort of in between AutoCAD and the block. Now just reposition the palette where you want it to go. That's always useful. We need to be in the Parameters tab there, like that, and you might want to roll back on the wheel and zoom out a little bit as well so you've got a bit of space around the objects that form the door block. Now what we're going to do is add the parameters, just the regular parameters that we want to use on this dynamic block, and then what we're going to start doing is developing all of the elements that make this block…
