Adding raster images

- [Instructor] Inserting raster images such as air photos, satellite images and scanned maps, add context to your drawings. Many organizations scans thousands of drawings from paper and you have the ability to add those drawings as images to your existing drawing. Let's insert an image now. Under the insert ribbon, under Image, click the Image button. This map insert looks for all types of images. We've got the options to insert Photoshops, JPEG 2000s and so on. Even MrSID and ECW. In this case, this is a Guelph UTM 17 Nat 83, TIFF. This is a GeoTIFF. It's different than a regular TIFF because the metadata inside the file keeps track of where to insert that into the real world. That's the great thing about that. So when you see modified correlation this will actually harvest all the metadata all the data about where that should be inserted from inside the TIFF file itself.
