- [Instructor] We're going into another chapter now in our AutoCAD essentials course and we're going to be looking at more text techniques in AutoCAD. And in this particular video, we're going to be looking at aligning text in different ways. Both single-line text and multi-line text. So the drawing looks remarkably similar and it's called using text dot dwg and you can see that at the top of the screen there and the usual drill is you can download the drawing from the library and use it to follow along with this particular video. Now just before we start, a good trick, a good habit to get into is to make sure that you're on the appropriate layer for the work that you're doing. So we're working with text so you want to make sure in your layers panel here that you are using the text layer.
