Alignment tools

- [Narrator] Those of you who work with steel, know that the center of the beam is not always the reference point we use to align the steel to the grid or the frame. Sometimes we align using the top of steel, or to the outer edge of the flange. We have some additional alignment tools we can use to make sure that our steel is both rotated and positioned correctly. So here is the steel we modeled earlier. So now let's take a look at some additional tools that we have here. We've already seen our axis tool, so we can toggle our axis on and off. Let's go back up to our As-Built Plant and we're going to toggle our beam axis off. We've already seen the rotation for that one. Let's look at a couple more options that we've got here. So if we're doing alignment, we can actually show the alignment of the beams, by placing a marker that's going to show us the rotation and any tilts or angles. If we look at that in plan view we get a visual on how these beams are aligned. So I can toggle that…
