Annotation: Working with subfamilies in your dimension styles in AutoCAD

- [Instructor] Welcome to another tip and trick for AutoCAD. Today we're going to be looking at annotation. And in particular, we're going to be looking at dimension families. Now you might think that's a weird connotation. Dimensions have a family. But what you can have is a parent dimension style which has subsequent child dimension styles underneath it to allow you to add different dimension style settings to different types of dimensions. So we're going to drawing in the library for you. It's called 200_annotation-dimfamilies.dwg. You can see the name of it up in the title bar in AutoCAD on the screen. Just download it from the library and open it up in AutoCAD to follow along with the tips and tricks video. Now we're in the model tab for this one. We don't need to go anywhere else. We're simply going to be working with our dimension styles and our dimensions. So you can see we've got varying dimension types on the drawing. We've got some linear dimensions, you'll notice there…
