Breaking dimensions

- [Voiceover] We're staying in the 09_Dimensioning.dwg file. I've zoomed into the top left corner again where the 3532 Door dim. is and the 1830 dimension is. Now, obviously, you can see where we're zoomed in and where we've placed previous dimensions. What we're going to do in this particular case is look at breaking dimensions. Quite often when you place a dimension in AutoCAD, it crosses another dimension. What you want to do is you want to actually break that dimension. Now, the first thing we're going to do is we're going to go and look at our dimension style quickly. I'm going to go to the Annotate Tab, Dimensions Panel, click on the little arrow, open up the Dimensions Style Manager. As you can see, we're using the Diagonal_-_2.5mm_Arial. I'm going to modify that and I'm going to have a look now at some of the settings for my Dimension Style. If I go to Lines, here, you can see that I've got things like Extend beyond dim lines, Offset from origin and so on. I'm going to go…
