- [Instructor] Well, we made it to last chapter. Welcome to Chapter 12. Now we're going to switch gears a little bit here and look at how we can use scan data to extract simple 2D floor plans. We'll use both As-Built building tools and VirtuSurv to extract walls, doors, windows, add annotations such as room heights and floor elevations. Now we're going to insert our point cloud here. So we're going to come to our As-Built Modeler > Insert, and if you look at your desktop, EXERCISE FILES > RECAP, there should a House project already in that folder for you. We're going to insert this. My scans are at meters. My length unit of drawing is in inches. If you're working in metric, make sure that you're working in the appropriate size. This is going to scale the point cloud to your measurements. And we're going to lock the point cloud and we're going to zoom to the inserted point cloud. And there we have it. There's our point cloud ready to go. So I'm just going to turn the transparency on…
