Connecting to raster data

- [Instructor] Connecting to raster data using Data Connect enables you to add one or more images to a single layer. Raster images, such as air photos, satellite, and scanned maps, add a large amount of context to any drawing. In the Display Manager, if you click Data, Connect to Data, you'll find the Add Raster or Surface Connection connection right here. For the raster name, I'm just going to call it Raster_EXERCISE. Now, we have a choice: a source file or folder. We can connect to a single raster image or a folder full of raster images. Now, we're going to point to a folder full of raster images because we have multiple images to add at once. They're all the same coordinate system, so that's perfect. By the way, if you are going to do this technique, where you add multiple raster files to the same layer, they all have to be in the same coordinate system. So let's do that.
