- [Woman] One of the most convenient features of As-Built steel is that once you fit a beam to the point cloud it's easy to copy that beam to other locations without having spend a lot of time fitting each beam individually. Since steel structures are often designed in repetitive patterns you can simply fit one beam and then copy it roughly to another location in the point cloud and then we could actually run the algorithm and fit that at a later time. So let's model another steel frame to see how this works. Okay so here's our steel frames. If we look at turning our points off, there's the two beams that we fit previously. So in order to duplicate this steel across this frame here what we can actually do is just use either AutoCAD Copy and to do AutoCAD Copy I'm going to flip into Plan View here and I'm going to select this one beam and I'm going to just right click. I'm going to say Copy that Selection and I'm going to pick a point roughly on this beam and then on this and this. Now…
