Create a dynamic block

- [Instructor] We're now going to look at creating a simple dynamic block. We have a new drawing for you called dynamic block.dwg, and you can download that from the library, as usual, to follow along with the video. When you open up the drawing, you'll see that we have a polyline here for the door on layer zero, and an arc there for the door swing, again on layer zero. However, our current drafting layer, should be set to door, like so. Because then once we've created the block, it will obviously adopt the current drafting layer and go on the door layer, like we've done in previous videos. So, we're going to create a dynamic block. The workflow to create a dynamic block is very similar to creating a regular AutoCAD block. So I'm going to utilize the Home tab on the ribbon. Go into the block panel and click on create block. Now all blocks have to have a name, so we're going to call it Door. And what I do with dynamic blocks is I give it a slightly different name. So it's Door dash…
