Create and insert a block
- We're staying in our reusingcontent.dwg file. Just make sure that you haven't got any groups set up, so you might want to use that explode group that I mentioned in the previous video, and you'll see that these are all just objects made up for things like arcs, and lines, and circles, and so on. So, we've got a hinge, a bolt, and a keyhole. And what we're going to do, is we're going to create individual blocks of these so that we can insert them into our AutoCAD drawings. The first thing we're going to do, is make sure that our current drafting layer, up here on the layer staying, is zero. We're then going to select all of our objects like so, and also put them onto layer zero. Now, you may think that a bit strange, but the whole idea is when you're creating blocks, if you put them onto layer zero, when you insert the block, it will then adopt the current drafting layer.
