- [Instructor] Map books are used to plot a series of maps that dice your data into sections with a title block. The title block usually has a predefined view port, such as a overview map view port and a main map view port. It may also have legends. Now, let's use a map in a pre-created drawing template with a title block and view ports to create the map book set. So first, inside of Exercise Files, chapter 13, 13.2, open up the GUELPH.dwg. This will be our main plotting map. We are also going to have the GUELPH_OVERVIEW for a key map or inset map, and we're also going to be using the map book template. This contains all the template and layouts for plotting. The Curbs, Hydrology, PARCELS and STREET SDFs are attached to both GUELPH.dwg and the GUELPH_OVERVIEW.dwg, just for making the maps themselves.
